A Hall with Local History
Bulphan Village Hall was built in 1966 to replace the original hall following the construction of the Bulphan By-Pass. Today, it is operated by Bulphan Village Hall CIO, a registered charity run entirely by volunteer trustees. The charity holds a 99-year lease on the hall and adjoining shop, with the freehold owned by Thurrock Council.
A Flexible Space for Every Occasion
The hall itself is a bright and welcoming space, suitable for a wide range of uses including club meetings, classes, private functions, community events, exhibitions, and children’s parties. It can accommodate up to 116 people, with seating for around 80 guests.
Convenient and Accessible Facilities
There is also on-site parking for up to 28 vehicles, including a designated disabled space, making it a convenient and accessible venue for local events.
Recreation Ground and Outdoor Use
The adjacent recreation ground is owned by Thurrock Council and is available for use alongside the hall. Hirers are welcome to access the field and play equipment as part of their booking. However, if you wish to install items such as bouncy castles, tents, or gazebos, you will need to liaise directly with the council for permission.
A Hub for Community Groups
Bulphan Village Hall is home to around 15 regular organisations, offering a wide range of activities for the local community. In addition to regular users, we also welcome external bookings for a variety of events and occasions. Whether you’re planning a party, meeting, or community event, the hall provides a flexible and welcoming space.
